Thursday Thinking #11

This is a weekly series that I hope you will take part in. Basically, I will ask a question, you answer. Easy-peasy. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Sometimes the questions will be very simple and easy to answer in one word. Other times they may be more controversial and require a bit thought on your part.

Ready?

Who is the celebrity that makes your heart go pitta-pat?

What is stashed under your bed?

One lone pair of slippers. And they are not even mine. I’m kinda weird that way, I don’t like things under my bed. Too hard to see if anything/one is hiding under there. ๐Ÿ˜‰

What story does your family always tell about you?

The year of my 6th Christmas I ย wasย apparentlyย less than stellar. I think they are mistaken because I was always an angel. Always. Anywho, when I asked, repeatedly, what I was going to get for Christmas, my sister finally told me, “All you are getting is toilet paper!”. And guess what was waiting for me under the tree? Wrapped up TP. My little 5 year old heart was broken. The real presents did eventually materialize and I have moved on. With therapy.

This is my family’s favorite story of me. They are mean.

What was your most favorite food as a child?

Mine would probably be macaroni and cheese. I loved the Mission brand. The bright yellow box and meatball dude on the front are treasured memories from my childhood. My Grandma Charles (Who was neither my grandmother or named Charles) would make it almost every day when she was babysitting me. Sadly, it is no longer made. For a while I was able to find a very close approximation in the Golden Grain brand, but I can no longer find that one either. Sigh.

#4 What was the last movie, TV show or book that made you cry?

It was the Bones season finale. When Angela had her baby and the doctor declared that the baby’s eyes were fine. Sniff. Sniff. Anyone have a tissue?

#3 When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you pass the time?

After laughing for a bit at the thought of 30 minutes of “free-time”, I gave it some thought. I would probably spend it taking a long shower. You know the kind, where you get to shave both legs and wash your hair.

#2 If you won the lottery, what it the first thing you would do?

I would pay off the remaining debt we have and possibly buy a lift chair for our van for Faith. Boring but true.
