I’m somewhere in Iowa. I think. Snow. Sleet. Rain.
That is all
Day 5 – York NE – A new Green Lantern ball cap, caught by a 50mph gust of wind at a rest stop, chased down by three burly, laughing truckers, two major storms outran and one state that never ends….Nebraska just goes on and on my friends, some people started driving it not knowing what it was, and they will drive forever because…it’s the state that never ends…
Cheyenne WY – Three hours of listening to Choo Choo Soul, two high altitude nose bleeds and one snowstorm named Brutus outran.
Evanston WY – Three states traveled through, two (too) little coffee ingested, and one child who learned the words “cliff” “canyon” “mountain” and “gully” and is scared and crying about all of the above.
Boise ID – Three hours of “Are we there yet?”, two new walkie-talkies and one time zone crossed.
Day one, somewhere in Oregon:
Three meltdowns, two bags of Funyons and a cat on a leash up a tree.
Dear yellow house that has always looked like a big block of cheese to me, thank you for keeping my family warm, for not having bugs, for being forgiving of a little girls meltdowns, and for watching my children grow. I might even miss you.
So long, and thanks for all the fish.
Ready or not, this is tomorrow….
From here until the end of the year my posts will be pretty sporadic.
We are moving.
From here <———————————–>To there
We will be living in a hotel until we can close on a house.
But we are rolling in style.
